Omwayo hit for a .416 average while collecting 124 hits, 25 doubles, 2 triples, 19 home runs, 69 RBIs and scoring 82 times. |
 | Bakersfield Hurler Tops in Platinum Arm Voting
Sunday, September 9th, 2012: The Platinum Arm for 2012 has been presented and the Sluggers League - AAA winner is Fernando Baca of Bakersfield.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Baca. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Hammerheads star told reporters.
Baca excelled with an impressive 18-6 record in 26 starts. In 195.1 innings he yielded 154 hits and 60 walks, while striking out 130 and compiling a fine 2.49 ERA.
