Wednesday, June 27th, 2012: Kent Weber of the Glendale HS Knights proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the American HS League Silver Slugger.
Weber hit for a .360 average while collecting 62 hits, 13 doubles, 1 triple, 27 home runs, 67 RBIs and scoring 56 times.

 | Jorge Peralta Captures USHL Silver Slugger
Wednesday, June 27th, 2012: Jorge Peralta of the Willard HS Braves had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Silver Slugger for 2012.
The 15-year-old center fielder put up a .460 average and a .545 on-base percentage, piling up 74 hits, 21 doubles, 7 triples, 14 home runs, 80 RBIs and 58 runs scored.

 | Top AHSL Pitcher for 2012 Named
Tuesday, June 26th, 2012: 16-year-old Pedro Castillo of the Arcata HS Angels put together a good year in 2012 for such a young player. Castillo was named today as the winner of the American HS League Platinum Arm.
Castillo crafted an impressive 6-1 record and a 2.55 ERA. In 53 innings he allowed 46 hits, struck out 76, and walked 10.
